I applied and was accepted to the Loyola University Study Abroad Program in Saigon, Vietnam. Hooray! I am really excited to travel outside of the United States for the first time to meet new people, eat good food, and discover things about myself that I wouldn't have realized otherwise. My main purpose of choosing to study abroad in Vietnam is to be able to see how others in a country across the world live, to hear their stories, and to come back with a humbled experience because I believe that some people in America take things for granted. Also, as a Vietnamese American I really love my culture and I keep having the urge to discover more about my roots and ancestors and learn the history of how/why my parents immigrated to the United States. Can't wait!
